7.2. Diagnostics of malfunctions of a spark plug

The worn out or polluted candles can well idle the engine, but at increase in frequency of rotation of a shaft of the engine their work is broken. The raised expense of fuel, loss of capacity by the engine, reduction of the maximum speed of the car, difficult start-up of the engine and other signs of abnormal work of the engine specify in unsatisfactory work of spark plugs. Spark plugs can fail because of a strong deposit, infringement of a normal amount of a backlash between electrodes or insulator destructions. Pollution of spark plugs because of intensive adjournment of a deposit occurs at long work of the engine on low turns and at frequent short trips when the Engine, as a rule, has not time to warm up ся to normal temperature. Deposit occurrence is promoted by the worn out piston rings, bad work of system of the ignition, too rich fuel mix and wrong selection of candles on калильно му to number (too "cold" candles for the given engine).
